Audio and climate controls are sublime, with large, round knobs and widely spaced, clearly marked buttons. Seats are well and an adequate. The driver's seat has height adjustment and the steering tilts and telescopes. With the seats slid all the way back, the second-row legroom is generous. In the nhtsa frontal crash tests, the 2 mazda 5 got five stars for both the driver and the front passenger.
